Biomedical Laboratory Science is a branch of medicine, which deals with the examination and analysis of the causes of diseases. Biomedical scientists are essential members of hospital laboratories, performing clinical laboratory diagnostic procedures for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. The curriculum is designed to teach the theory and practice of biomedical laboratory science over the course of four years. The basic subjects of biomedical science are introduced in the first year, and the practice of laboratory diagnostic procedures will be taught in the second, third and fourth year.
