Introduction to the Department of Hospital Administration
In this high-tech society of the 21st century, many changes have occurred in hospital management due to the advancement in medical information technology. As a consequence, hospitals now demand individuals with professional management ability. Plus, the hospitals with the competitive power are further accelerating specialization, digitalization, and globalization of the hospitals.
In order to keep up the pace with the changing atmosphere of domestic medical market, such as the opening of medical market, the introduction of private medical treatment insurance, strengthening of hospital services, Gimcheon University’s Department of Hospital Administration is training our students to become professional hospital administrators who can cope actively and aggressively to changing atmosphere of medical market, specifically, by teaching scientific administration skills, teaching foreign language skills through the internship at foreign medical institutions, and at the same time, performing actual duty of practical administrative work in medical tourism, skills of analyzing medical data, and knowledge of medical treatment insurance.
