| The Department of English at Gimcheon University aims to nurture, in ways both academic and humanistic, students who will become world leaders in their grasp of, and application of, the English language.
The Department of English promotes the study of English pedagogy, translation and interpretation, practical communicative English, and academic English, through its many course offerings. Moreover, the program also prepares the student in the methods of English education pedagogies.
For the duration of four years, the students will study underneath the guidance of talented English language professionals who can capably administer classes on English language conversation, CNN viewership, presentation English, Debate English, Classroom English, Interpretation English, etc. through the immersion method and style.

| Students will find various job areas open to them, all of which place high priority on proficiency in the English language skill set: stewardess, positions in English teaching institutions, positions as a TESOL instructor, positions on an English study material development team, junior high and high school textbook development teams, English test creation committees, early childhood English instruction institutions, international trade, broadcasting, national and international airline services, government positions, and hotel related positions. |
